I joined this several months ago, but never actually said anything.... XD
Hey there! I'm Aelwyn, also known as Chibi Scissorwoman on the DCJ forums (s11.zetaboards.com/dontcryjennifer). You might recognize me by that name, you might not, but either way, I'm a Clock Tower fan. The only game I've played is Clock Tower 3, but I love it to death. So much that I annoy my friends with my obsession for it.... lol!
I'm 16, but I'll be 17 on July 20th (next month, YAY!). School just got over for the summer, but this next year I'll be a senior in high school. My favorite Clock Tower 3 characters are the Scissortwins, most particularly Scissorwoman Jemima. I love her. ^_^
Just in case no one knows about the place yet, there's an awesome forum for Clock Tower fans. ( I do believe someone posted a link on the fan based website that also hosts the forums.)
Here's the forum: s11.zetaboards.com/dontcryjennifer/index/ The people are really nice! I haven't been on long and I already feel much at home.
We also have a CT oekaki board which is here: oekaki.bluemoonsea.com/index.php
I have an account on both so see you guys there!
Clock Tower Movie is a go, apparently
BERLIN — Senator Entertainment is set to produce “Clock Tower,” based on Capcom’s bestselling survival horror video game series, for the Weinstein Co.
Senator’s Marco Weber will produce with Martin Weisz (“The Hills Have Eyes 2”) directing from a script by Eric Poppen (“Borderland”).
Unlike first-person shooter games, which allow gamers to hunt and kill monsters, the protagonist in “Clock Tower” has no weapons and must use her surroundings to hide and escape while solving puzzles and following the twisting storyline.
The game has attracted high-profile talent, such as the late Japanese helmer Kinji Fukasaku (“Battle Royale”), who directed the third version of the game, “Clock Tower 3.”
The pic will employ elements of all of the “Clock Tower” games, although the story will be based mainly on “Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within,” in which the heroine finds herself locked up in a psychiatric hospital as she tries to escape the curse that has haunted her family for generations.
Senator’s head of production Vanessa Coifman will produce along with Weber. Haruhiro Tsujimoto of Capcom, and Anthony Mosawi and Brad Luff of the Mayhem Project are executive producing for the Weinstein Co., which is handling international sales.
Pic is set to start shooting in July.
Don't Cry Jennifer lives. Um, I wasn't aware it was back up. Anyway, its a super awesome Clock Tower fansite. Everyone send enig brownies for her hard work.
Today I finally opened up My Clock Tower Union on Gamespot.
Yeah I'm so happy!
Please feel free to join and start posting.
I would like to start a Clock Tower Union on Gamespot. I have found a couple people who are interested in some Officer positions so I'm looking for 3 more since I need 5 to actually start a Union.
If you are interested in an Officer position please either reply here or PM me.
Has anyone ever managed to successfully rip a decent-quality MP3 or WAV of the ending theme to the original U.S. Clock Tower game (Clock Tower 2 in Japan)? I really, REALLY like that song, but the most I've been able to do through PSXmc is rip exactly 1 minute of it -- and it's over 4 minutes long in total, IIRC.
If anyone DOES have a decent-quality MP3 or WAV of it, either through ripping or just plain recording, I'd be very appreciative if you'd let me know -- I'm planning on making a mix CD of my favorite PS1 and DreamCast non-vocal theme songs, and I'd like the Clock Tower theme to be on it. But unlike most other PS1 games that originate in Japan, Clock Tower doesn't have a soundtrack -- I guess there's not enough music in it to warrant one.
Proper Introduction will be later, but I REALLY need to know in the PS version clock tower, is there a knife in it?. If so, where?.. I know probably in the Barrows Castle, but where in the Barrows castle. I'd appreciate anyone who helps me out?.
Finally got these developed, and thought I might share them with you all. During Katsucon 11 (I believe), I very briefly dressed up as Scissorman from the first PlayStation Clock Tower game. Check out the pics!
I think they turned out pretty nicely. (:
Not too sure if a lot of you have played this yet. But there's a Clock Tower-esque flash game called Darkness. Complete with a horror premise, panic button, and a Jennifer Simpson-lookalike! It's a very spooky game, there's a lot of jump scenes here. And sound is a definite must in order to create the atmosphere. Here are walkthroughs to Darkness 1 and Darkness 2.
Also just in case, I made a Clock Tower Ratings Community.
Join it if you're curious as to what CT character do people see you as.:
fear is fascinating @ snippity_snap
So. I have a Clock Tower themed household on The Sims 2. Both Scissormen, Jennifer, Mary, and Stephanie live there. Sadako (The Ring) visits frequently for some reason.
One night, Stephanie tried to cook a pop tart and nearly burned the house down.
Anyway, if you haven't already, make sure to check out Haunting Ground for the PS2. Its like Clock Tower 3.5, only without all the magical girl stuff.
I love the first Clock Tower on PSX (not the prequel, the first US release). It's mine and my sister's favorite video game to play together. This may sound dorky, but from the first time we played it, since there's little spoken dialogue, we read the dialogue out loud giving different voices to each character. It makes the game so much fun, and we've replayed it sooo many times just to do the voices - LOL!
It's kind of sad that there's not much discussion happening here. This may have been asked before, but just to get conversation going, who is your all time favorite character from any of the 4 games and why?
Love the game.
Hated the second one.
Can't stop thinking about the first one and I got it eons ago when it first came out.
Okay, I'm tired.
One day I decided to go to one of my local video game stores (the kind where they are probably going to be out of business in a few years, and all they have are older games and such) and found, among other things, Clock Tower, which I decide to rent. But what's this? Playstation game, $2.95, two for $5.00? SIGN MY SCISSOR HAPPY ASS UP! So I walked out of the store with Clock Tower, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Front Mission 3.
Best Christmas ever.
Edit: If anyone has a Scissorman (or Super Famicom/Playstation Clock Tower related) icon they would allow me to use, I'd be uber thankful. XD
Hi! I'm a new member...heh...anyway, I basically joined this community because I have a question that I thought only people here could answer. My favorite horror game is Clock Tower 3! I've beaten it twice and I'm still in love with it. I thought the game play as well as the story line was the best! I'm not usually into the fake gore but I enjoyed CT3 because it had more realistic gore and believable characters. Anyway, to not make my intro post long. I was wondering if anyone knew if they are coming out with a Clock Tower 4? I know the two other CTs but I didn't enjoy them as much. Anything newer in the making? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Wake up, little community...
So...if you were given proper funding, what would you do right in terms of making a Clocktower game for the PS2?
Hello everyone! I decided to join this community because in a sea of crappy "survival horror" games, I find Clock Tower is the only series requiring much logical thought, as well as being the only game that ever really scared me...well, at least this was true of the first two...anyhow, just thought I'd make my introductory post. ^_^
